Pine Cafe, located at 12 N Pine-Featherville Rd in Mountain Home, ID, is a gem that captivates with its welcoming atmosphere and diverse menu. Patrons frequently praise the cafe for its blend of classic dishes and inventive twists. Customer reviews highlight both the delectable offerings and the hospitable service, although experiences can vary. Notably, Steve Nielsen noted the inconsistency in service, yet he remains a loyal customer due to the quality of the food.
One standout aspect is the camaraderie among the staff, as evidenced by Mary Ann A’s heartfelt tale of a lost purse safely returned. This kind of genuine care enhances the dining experience, making guests feel valued. The menu features enticing options like the cheeseburger, praised for its freshness, and accompaniments like crispy fries.
Moreover, Joanie Benham loved the rich flavors of the fried tortillas with ice cream, alongside a variety basket that showcases finger steaks and chicken strips. Each dish is priced reasonably, making it an ideal spot for casual dining.
Overall, Pine Cafe captures the essence of community dining, combining good food with heartfelt service, ensuring visitors leave with smiles and anticipation for their next visit.

Great little spot. The menu is full of classic cafe dishes along with a couple of unique variations. We've experienced amazingly good service here as well as horrible service. It's hard to find good employees so we totally understand and that won't stop us from coming back.

Honest friendly people! I forgot my purse on the outdoor bench and the waitresses kept it behind the counter. I wanted to cry I was so happy. You don't see that every day. Thank you! You guys are the BEST!

The Pine Cafe is one of 30 ride to destinations for the Pacfic NW Gran Tour. Lotta fun and sometimes there is food, good food, like today. Had the cheeseburger with American cheese and all the veggies with fries, tater tots was an option for the side but I got my fill of tots as a kid they just don't taste as good as fries to me. Server was pleasant. I was there during what could be called the lunch rush and I number 7 in line from what I could figure and it only took 25 minutes. The food isn't made until you order it so its hot and good.

Service was amazing. Tara was wonderful and made our experience. She's so bubbly, friendly, and all around gave great service. We enjoyed the fried tortillas with ice cream and drizzle very much, and my friends fish basket was so yummy. Update a year and a half later. The food was fantastic. We all enjoyed our meals and look forward to going back. I had the small variety basket with finger steaks and a chicken strip and tots and a cup of chicken noodle soup. My friend had a Philly cheese steak and chili, and the other friend had a club with tots and chicken noodle soup. The meals are reasonably priced, and it was super delicious. A couple of burgers went by our table, and they also looked super good.

Had lunch at Pine Cafe and Jenn, our waitress, took great care of us and the food was tasty. We sat outside on the front patio to enjoy the breeze and views. Also, the prices are SO much better than the cafe in Featherville. For 22 I had a pepper jack burger and fries with a well whiskey (Jim Bean) Coke double.
